Asian Heritage Street Festival - 2014

Event details: “Celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month at the10th Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in front of the Asian Art Museum, leading up to the Little Saigon District in San Francisco. Street fair goers will have the chance to learn how to cook delicious pan Asian dishes at the AHSC cooking demonstration stage located at Ellis and Larkin Streets, by celebrity chefs including Martin Yan.

Date and time: Saturday, May 17th, 2014.
Location: Larkin Street, from Grove to Ellis. 11am-6pm.

The AHSC will also have a variety of scrumptious pan Asian delights with an estimated 20-30 food trucks and vendors in attendance. Shoppers will have the chance to purchase the best and most creative handmade arts and crafts items at the Arts and Crafts World Market.

For the fourth year in a row, the fair will also feature a health section entitled Healthy Living Pavilion. Faces of Asia Cultural Procession

The Faces of Asia Cultural Procession is a grand element of the street celebration comprising of more than 20 bay area organizations parading through the festival dressed in cultural attire. The purpose of the procession is to expose the raw beauty and traditional significance of the Asian identities that represent the people of the SF Bay Area. Because the procession was so successful previous years, participants will be able to win cash prizes and trophies again this year in the four categories:

SEAACC Cultural Showcase

Located inside the eminent Asian Art Museum, SEAACC hosts a cultural performance that showcase the traditional arts and culture of various Southeast Asian ethnicities through music, song, and dance. Different organizations from all over the SF Bay Area come together to share their cultural story with the goal of preserving and promoting their traditional heritage. Participating community organizations include:
