12th Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration - 2016

Celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month at the 12th Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in front of the Asian Art Museum, leading up to the United Nation Plaza in San Francisco.

Asian Heritage Street Festival 2016

When: Saturday, May 21, 2016
Where: United Nation Plaza Civic Center. 11am-6pm

The AHSC will also have a variety of scrumptious pan Asian delights with an estimated 20-30 food trucks and vendors in attendance. Shoppers will have the chance to purchase the best and most creative handmade arts and crafts items at the Arts and Crafts World Market.

SEAACC is proud to host two major events at the festival:

Faces of Asia Cultural Procession

The Faces of Asia Cultural Procession is a grand element of the street celebration comprising of more than 20 bay area organizations parading through the festival dressed in cultural attire. The purpose of the procession is to expose the raw beauty and traditional significance of the Asian identities that represent the people of the SF Bay Area.


SEAACC Cultural Showcase

SEAACC hosts a cultural performance that showcase the traditional arts and culture of various Southeast Asian ethnicities through music, song, and dance at the main stage United Nation Plaza from 11:45-12:45 p.m. Different organizations from all over the SF Bay Area come together to share their cultural story with the goal of preserving and promoting their traditional heritage. Participating community organizations include:

  • Au Co Vietnamese Cultural Center
  • Cambodian Modesto Youth Group
  • Cambodian School of San Francisco
  • Center for Laos Studies
  • One Myanmar Community
  • Samaki Project
  • San Francisco Wushu Team
  • Wat Buddhapradeep San Bruno Thai Temple
